Proposed design of an interactive cube for placement in selected metro stations of the Athens City Metro.
One of the faces of the 2.00x2.00m metal cube is a projection area and the rest of the faces are made of solid metal with the cutout of the company's logo.
Motion sensors support the projection area and a 10K projector is hidden inside the cube.
Bath steam is displayed by the projector but as people walk in front of the installation the motion sensors capture the motion of the people and a video of a woman's silhouette appears behind the steam.
The closer the people get to the cube, the clearer the image of the woman gets.
The video of the woman displayed is a filmed loop of in a minimalistic set of a bathroom in front of the mirror, doing several different actions like washing hands, applying makeup, washing teeth etc.
The camera capturing the woman's actions is where the mirror of a bathroom would be (subjective shot of the mirror), so the people passing by have the feel that they are watching the woman througn a one way mirror.
A smart idea to promote toilet fixtures in metro stations inspired by a very original way to promote toilet fixtures by Roca.
